Graduation Lecture & Celebration of All Things Science and Math

Flyer for Event

You're Invited!

Join us for an evening of inspiration, curiosity, and celebration as we gather for the annual Center for Science and Mathematics Education (CSME) Invited Lecture — an event dedicated to the joy of science and math, the art of 新葡京app and learning, and the wonder of the natural world.

We are thrilled to welcome Andrea Easter-Pilcher, currently serving as the Dean of the College of Science and moving into her new role next year as interim WSU Provost, as this year’s featured speaker, presenting her lecture:

“Transects & Deviations: Paths Tread in International Conservation and Higher Education”

Known for her remarkable ability to connect science with the human experience, Andrea has navigated everything from grizzly bear encounters to academic leadership — and though she’s only used tranquilizers on the bears, she’s been a calming and energizing force for university communities alike.

📅 Date: Thursday, April 17th, 2025
🕖 Time: 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Hurst Center, 新葡京app State University, Ogden Campus

This free public lecture is open to all — educators, students, families, and anyone who loves learning. 我们邀请Andrea不仅是因为她的洞察力和口才,也是为了纪念她对CSME的坚定支持和她对各地教师的支持。

The evening will begin with a special recognition of our graduating math and science 新葡京app students — rising educators who will soon be shaping classrooms across the region. 庆祝他们的成就,并与下一代科学和数学领袖见面。 Please share widely — and come ready to be inspired!
